Cheesy Fish

  • 1 x 4oz/113g fresh or frozen boneless, skinless cod steak
  • 1oz/28g half fat grated cheese
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 fresh tomato chopped
  • Salt and pepper to season
  1. Pre-heat oven to 190C/375F/gas mark 5. Season the cod steak well with salt and pepper
  2. Place cod in a shallow, ovenproof dish. Sprinkle with grated cheese, chopped onion and tomato.
  3. Place in the oven for approximatley 30-45 minutes. A little longer if the fish is frozen. Alternatively microwave on high for 5 minutes.
  4. Serve with salad or vegetables. You can also add other ingredients as desired e.g mushrooms, peppers, chopped spring onions etc.
