Mince Bolognese

ingredients
  • 8oz/226g lean minced beef
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 8oz/226g tinned tomatoes
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil
  • Pinch of dried thyme
  • 1 bay leaf
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt & pepper
method
  1. Brown the minced beef and chopped onion in a non-stick pan.
  2. Add tomatoes and all the other remaining ingredients.
  3. Cover and simmer gently for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
  4. Serve with cauliflower or any green vegetables. Low Fat slimmers can serve with pasta from your allowance if preferred.
