Spicy Turkey Pasta
  • Serves 4
  • UNITS:7 per serving (not recomended for Unit Plan)
  • FAT POINTS: 0.75 per serving. (Using pasta from allowance)
  • CALORIES: 186 per serving
  • 6oz/168g dry weight pasta shapes
  • 12oz/336g turkey mince
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 red chilli, deseeded and finely chopped
  • 1 x 14oz/392g can chopped tomatoes
  • 2 teaspoons dried mixed herbs
  • 2 tablespoons tomato puree
  • Half a pint chicken stock
  • Salt & black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional) to decorate
  1. in a large non-stick pan dry fry the turkey mince with the chopped onion until the mince changes colour and forms a firm consistancy.
  2. Add all the remaining ingredients and simmer for 20-25 minutes untilt eh pasta is cooked.
  3. Sprinkle with the chopped fresh parsley if desired and serve with a side salad
